Dr. Ashok Vaid is a renowned Medical Oncologist in India with over 40 years of experience, specializing in the treatment of various types of cancer. He is credited with performing the first 25 bone marrow transplants in North India’s private sector, establishing himself as a pioneer in the field. Dr. Vaid’s expertise spans organ-specific cancers such as breast, brain, lung, and thyroid cancers, as well as blood disorders like leukaemia and lymphoma. His comprehensive approach to cancer care combines the latest research and clinical expertise to provide patients with personalized treatment options.

Dr. Vaid completed his MBBS in 1984 and an MD in General Medicine in 1989 from Government Medical College, Jammu, before pursuing a DM in Medical Oncology from Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai, in 1993. He has received numerous accolades for his contributions to oncology, including the prestigious Padma Shri in 2009 and the Chikitsa Shiromani Award in 2007. As an active researcher, Dr. Vaid has authored several papers and served as the principal investigator in over 50 national and international clinical trials. He is also a founder member of the Indian Cooperative Oncology Network and a life member of several esteemed medical organizations, including the Breast Cancer Foundation of India and the Indian Medical Association.
