Dr. Harshavardhan Hegde is the Director of Orthopaedics and Orthopaedic Spine Surgery at Max Institute of Musculoskeletal Sciences & Orthopaedics, Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital, Saket. With over 30 years of experience, Dr. Hegde has specialized in spinal surgery, having received advanced training at renowned institutions such as Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Oxford, UK, and Klinikum Karlsbad, Germany. His expertise also includes specialized training in the US, Australia, and Budapest. Dr. Hegde has held significant positions in India, including Professor and Head of Orthopaedics at Pramukh Swami Medical College, Gujarat, and has contributed to major hospitals in Delhi NCR, including Fortis, Artemis, and Nova Bone & Joint Hospital.

Dr. Hegde is known for his pioneering work in robotic spinal surgery in India, having performed the country’s first such surgery in 2013. He has extensive international experience, with a large patient base in the Middle East, Iraq, and Africa, and has worked as a Senior Consultant in Oman for over a decade. His areas of expertise include advanced spinal surgeries, including cervical and lumbar disc replacements, scoliotic and kyphotic corrections, minimally invasive procedures, and knee and hip replacements. He is a member of various medical councils and societies, including the Indian Medical Council and the Girdlestone Orthopaedic Society, UK. Dr. Hegde’s OPD hours at Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, are Monday to Saturday, 10:00 am to 1:30 pm.
