About the Doctor

Dr. Rajiv Parakh is a leading expert in Peripheral Vascular and Endovascular sciences and currently serves as the Chairman at Medanta, The Medicity. He played a pivotal role in establishing one of India’s first independent departments of vascular surgery at a city hospital. His expertise encompasses a wide range of treatments, including Peripheral Vascular and Endovascular Surgery, Carotid Surgery, Endovascular Interventions, Endovascular Repair of Aneurysms, Below the Knee Angioplasty, and Vascular Trauma.

Dr. Parakh’s educational background includes an MBBS and MD from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, followed by an FRCS in General Surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons, United Kingdom. He is a founder and life member of the Vascular Society of India and the Endovascular Intervention Society of India. He has been deeply involved in medical education, having served as a convener for the National Board of Examiners’ teaching program. Dr. Parakh’s leadership was also instrumental in organizing the 13th Annual Conference of the Vascular Society of India in 2006, which was attended by prominent international figures in the field.
