Dr. T. S. Kler

About the Doctor

Dr. T. S. Kler is a distinguished cardiologist with over 48 years of experience, having performed more than 35,000 angioplasties across coronary, renal, carotid, and peripheral arteries. He is an expert in advanced interventional cardiology, including complex coronary interventions, renal and carotid procedures, and peripheral angioplasties. Dr. Kler is a pioneer in cardiac electrophysiology, having established the first electrophysiology department in India and being the first in the country to implant ICD, CRT-P, and CRT-D devices. He also performed the first HIS Bundle Pacing in India in 2015. His work in RF ablation and cardiac device implantation has significantly impacted India and neighboring countries, including Bangladesh, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.

Dr. Kler completed his MBBS in 1976, followed by an MD and DM in Cardiology from PGIMER, Chandigarh. He is internationally recognized, having earned MRCP and FRCP qualifications, along with FACC from the USA. With over 150 published articles and numerous invitations as a speaker at global conferences, Dr. Kler has received prestigious awards, including the Padma Bhushan in 2005. He is a Life Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Founding President of the Heart Rhythm Society of India. His special interests include managing coronary artery disease, heart valve disease, aortic aneurysms, and advanced heart failure therapies.
