Dr. U Vasudeva Rao is a highly experienced General Surgeon with over 42 years of practice, specializing in a wide range of surgical procedures. His expertise includes carotid angioplasty, organ transplant surgery, thyroid and breast surgery, endosurgery, and vascular procedures like arterial bypass and laser treatments for varicose veins. Dr. Rao’s commitment to advancing the field is evident from his award-winning research on VAC therapy for diabetic foot infections, which he presented at an international conference in Seoul, South Korea. He has also published extensively on topics such as hernia repair and limb ischemia.

Dr. Rao completed his MBBS in 1975, followed by an MS in General Surgery in 1978, and an FRCS from the University of Glasgow in 1982. Currently, he serves as the Governing Council member and Hon. Treasurer of the Association of Surgeons of India and is the President-elect of the Surgical Society of Bangalore.
