Dr. Vikas Gupta is a renowned orthopaedic surgeon and the Director of Orthopaedics and Head of Hand & Shoulder Surgery at Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital, Saket. He holds an MBBS and an M.S. in Orthopaedics from AIIMS, New Delhi, and has further specialized through fellowships in Hand Surgery from Mayo Clinic, USA, and AO Fellowship in Freiberg, Germany. Dr. Gupta has extensive experience, having previously served as the Director of Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery at Medanta Bone & Joint Institute, Gurgaon, and as a senior consultant at Fortis Group of Hospitals. He has successfully performed over 6,000 complex hand and upper extremity surgeries.

Dr. Gupta is recognized for his expertise in wrist arthroscopy and hand surgeries, being the first surgeon in India to perform wrist replacement with ceramic-on-ceramic technology. He has received multiple accolades, including the Best Paper Award for his work on wrist arthroscopy. Dr. Gupta was nominated in the prestigious Marquis Who’s Who in Asia for his contributions to hand surgery. He served as Secretary and Honorary Treasurer of the Indian Society of Surgery for Hand (ISSH) from 2012 to 2015.
